In new footage taken while on set of Lil Wayne‘s music video for “God Bless Amerika” in New Orleans, Wayne can be seen stepping on the American flag—over and over again.

While one could argue that such action reflects the song’s lyrics, which include the lines “My country, ’tis of thee/Sweet land of kill ‘em all and let ‘em die/So god bless America, this godless America,” others might wonder if he was simply oblivious to the fact that the flag had fallen and he was walking back and forth on it.

Wayne Released a statement:

It was never my intention to desecrate the flag of the United States of America. I was shooting a video for a song off my album entitled “God Bless Amerika”. The clip that surfaced on the Internet was a camera trick clip that revealed that behind the American Flag was the Hoods of America. In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what is behind it but will never see it on the ground. In most people eyes including my own who were raised in that environment, the Hood is the only America they know and the only America I knew growing up. I was fortunate from my God giving talents to escape the Hood and see the other beautiful places this country has to offer but most people who are born in that environment don’t get that chance. Former NBA superstar Allen Iverson has returned his kids to their mother ... and insists he was NEVER holding them hostage in the first place ... at least that's what A.I. claimed in court last week.

We broke the story ... Iverson's ex-wife filed court docs insisting Allen had all 5 of their kids holed up at an Atlanta hotel and refused to hand them over to their mother on the designated swap date.

But TMZ has learned ... Allen appeared in Fulton County court in Georgia last Wednesday and told the judge his ex-wife had full access to their kids during their stay at the hotel ... and therefore he wasn't doing anything wrong. We're told Tawanna also testified that she could have picked up the children from Allen but didn't want to drive 45 minutes to his location.

After A.I.'s testimony, the judge decided the former Philadelphia 76ers star didn't deserve to be thrown in jail -- despite his ex-wife's request before the hearing. The kids -- ranging from ages 3 to 16 -- were returned to their mother following the hearing.

In fact, sources connected to the case tell TMZ ... Allen and his ex have worked out some of their issues ... and she has already allowed Allen to spend more private time with the kids.

So far, no comment from either side. (TMZ)

Rapper J. Cole was extorted by a sick fan who tweeted a photo of a little girl with a gun to her head ... and claimed he would shoot her if Cole did not respond to his message.

The fan tweeted last night "@JColeNC retweet me and I'll buy Born Sinner. Don't retweet me and I'll kill my lil sister."

Shortly after the threatening tweet, which refers to Cole's new album ... Cole did indeed retweet the message.

It's unclear if the gun is real or where the twisted bastard behind the tweet actually lives. The account, which we're not revealing, claims to be out of Saudi Arabia -- but the truth is it could be anywhere in the world.

We reached out to police in North Carolina -- where J. Cole lives -- to see if they were investigating ... but they hadn't heard anything about it.

We also contacted Twitter headquarters ... a rep said the company doesn't comment on individual accounts to protect privacy

This morning J. Cole commented about the incident, saying ... "Wildest s**t I ever seen on twitter." (TMZ)

UPDATE: 11:15 AM PT The fan is now downplaying his tweet by claiming it's a BB gun in the photo -- apparently, oblivious to the fact even a BB gun could seriously harm a child at that range.

With interviews from 50 Cent, Eminem, Russell Simmons and even Susan Sarandon, this new film explores the charge of mastering the drug game, constructing a step-by-step booklet for rising the ranks from street hustler to drug lord.

For the movie, producer and Entourage star Adrian Grenier and filmmaker Matthew Cooke picked up where Biggie left off with the crack commandments, tracking business positions and navigating murky drug laws that preside over any kingpin’s throne.

It’s not about right or wrong, but deconstructing the American Dream.

“Growing up in the 80’s, the messaging of the War on Drugs seeped into my subconscious,” Grenier tells theGrio. “I made these grand assumptions that the people who got busted for drugs were all evil and bad, but that’s not true. The vast majority of people who are in jail for drug charges are people just like you and me: are family members, are personable people who are not violent. They’re either stuck in a bad economic situation, or have a medical problem of addiction.”

Can’t knock the hustle

Criminalization became the first matter to address in the film, and the people targeted by one of America’s most lucrative industries.

“I realized that we don’t put enough financial support behind methods of helping the weakest members of society,” Grenier says. “We just simply throw them into jail, which is economically not smart and also socially destructive.”

As the documentary suggests, people join the drug sphere when they don’t have better alternatives – and by better, the implication is fast money and lots of it.

“I’m gonna give you three and half grams [of coke], do you know what to do with it?” Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson says at the movie’s opening. “Because if you know what to do with it, you gonna be alright.”

Depending on a player’s rank, a drug dealer can make anywhere from a grand to $1 million a day selling cocaine, or $5,000 for simply driving it across the country.

Other drugs are equally lucrative. Marijuana, for instance, the most profitable cash crop in the U.S., brings in $36 billion a year.

Knowing what to do with supply is one step, but making strategic moves to process it is another. The film points out the importance of “registering with the neighborhood thug,” choosing corners wisely, and carrying a gun at all times.

And, as the rapper stresses, shooting “to kill.”

For some, pushing dope offers a six-figure starting salary – money to live versus money to get by. It can be the chance for a college dropout to erect a $100 million dollar business, and isn’t that what this country is all about?

“People who have the opportunity to get an education and go become useful members of society, doing things that are inspiring in their lives, are going to go do that,” Grenier comments. “The reality is this movie isn’t going to make people quit their job as a lawyer or doctor or whatever successful job. It’s not going to do that. It’s an honest straight talk account of what’s happening.”

He continues, “None of us should be afraid of education and the truth. The truth is something we need more of. A lot of the smear campaigns generated by the War on Drugs have kept us scared and afraid.”

Scams are plotted over grams and rocks

Since its inception, the War on Drugs has been gravely misunderstood, says Grenier, pointing out his own ignorance to discrepancies within current drug policy.

Because of laws, African-American dealers are four times more likely to be arrested than whites, for example, even though more buyers and sellers are white. According to the Correctional Association of New York, 90 percent of those convicted on drug charges under the Rockefeller drug laws are black and Latino.

Both Simmons and Sarandon attest to the need for changing such policies in the documentary, as well as the unusually harsh sentencing structures that accompany them. Other people interviewed include Arianna Huffington, Freeway Rick Ross, and David Simon, creator of The Wire.

“These policies target the weakest members of society: drug addicts and also the poor,” Grenier explains. “Because of our history, minorities are often impoverished and have a hard time buying into the American Dream. There are many reasons and details laid out in the film, but it has to do a lot with visibility and policies that target neighborhoods they have deemed problematic.”

Everyday struggle: stuck in the system...

Once arrested, an almost insurmountable cycle begins for the convicted. Jail offers a chance for detained dealers to expand their clientele and increase business prospects. After release, not many opportunities are afforded a man with a record, and many return to previous ways.

The road is tougher for addicts. Even in prison, illegal substances are not hard to come by.

“When you don’t have the money to fight the drug charge, your best option is a plea bargain,” Grenier remarks. “If you have a drug problem, you’re not going to be able to afford treatment. Your problem is going to continue, and your desperation to feed your addiction may lead you to crime. Of course, if we put more money into programs that help people get off drugs…or if you put more money into the economy to build communities and bolster job growth, people wouldn’t necessarily turn to drugs.”

The government has a lot to spend, too. In 2012, the budget for the War on Drugs grew to almost $25 billion per year.

“I’m Marshall Mathers, and I’m an addict”

It’s not only the poor who suffer, nonetheless. In a brief exposé moment, Eminem shares an intimate narrative of his own, discussing his dependency on the prescription drug Vicodin.

Slim Shady talks about overcoming his addiction, going three weeks without sleep, and having to regain both his motor and verbal skills as a result of withdrawal.

“It’s one of the most compelling parts of the movie,” Grenier says. “Ironically speaking, we think it’s important to have a little levity, and to look at the bright faces, the human stories behind these characters. But at the same time not to glorify drug use.”

Long live da game: is legalization a viable option?

With How to Make Money Selling Drugs, which opens in theaters June 26, Grenier aims to inspire dialogue about the drug market, and institutions that both help and hinder its bureaucracy. Beyond the U.S, the film shows how international affiliates weigh into the problem, the depth and consequences of politicizing these issues, and the more radical option legalization would offer.

“If you legalize drugs, you obliterate a black market, and drugs become controlled substances like cigarettes or prescription drugs,” Grenier remarks. “They become pure so people are safer. They also create an economy that the government can track, and bring in additional revenue to support communities. I can’t say that I’m 100 percent behind full legalization, but certainly it has to be looked at, and I think we just have to be brave to make a different choice.”

Thus, it’s no longer about Reagan, street cred, or good against evil, but getting one step ahead of the game in order to vie with Scarface.

Grenier adds, “These are difficult issues, and take real debate and conversation.” (TheGrio)

According to NBC News...

A Florida man was beaten, robbed, forced to strip naked and abandoned on the side of a road Friday evening during a first date gone horribly wrong, according to police.

Authorities found nude, bloodied Shaun Paul Williams (pictured above), 34, walking on the shoulder of State Road 100 in Bunnell, Fla., late Friday near a cow pasture where Williams said he was assaulted and mugged by his date and her two unidentified male companions earlier that evening, according to a Flagler County Sheriff’s Office case report.

Williams told sheriff’s deputies that he met the unidentified woman at a convenience store in Daytona Beach, Fla., two weeks ago. They struck up a friendship and later arranged to go out on June 14, according to the report.

The woman picked up Williams in front of the same convenience store for their first date Friday evening. After Williams entered the woman’s vehicle, he discovered two unidentified adult men – one of whom the woman introduced as her brother, the report states.

She told Williams that she would take him out to dinner after she dropped off the two unidentified men at her brother’s home. But after several minutes on the road, the woman abruptly turned onto an unknown side street, Williams told investigators.

The woman’s alleged brother instructed her to stop somewhere along the side street because he had to “wait for a friend.” She then backed into what Williams described to investigators as an “empty cow pasture.”

Williams told investigators that he then exited the vehicle to urinate but was allegedly bludgeoned twice in the face with a “hard metal object.” He collapsed to the ground and held his face in his hands while one of the unidentified men allegedly said, “Give me all your money and all your clothes.”

Williams told police he said, “Are you serious?”

One of the unidentified men allegedly responded, “Do you see what I’ve got pointed at you?”

Williams said he then opened his eyes and saw a semi-automatic pistol pointed straight at his face, according to the report.

After Williams complied with their orders, the woman and her two male companions then fled the scene in the vehicle, according to the report.

All told, Williams claimed he was robbed of $200 in cash, a Straight Talk pre-paid cellular phone, his Florida driver’s license, a gray tank top, black Dickie shorts and a pair of DC sneakers.

A sheriff’s deputy who discovered a “disoriented” Williams took him to a hospital, where he was treated for several lacerations on the right side of his face, according to the case report.

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office investigators are working to identify and pursue the three suspects, authorities said. (Bossip)

Chief Keef might be taking his affiliation with Gucci Mane entirely to seriously when it comes to jail time. The Chicago native was arrested on a trespassing charge shortly after leaving court today in Chicago.

The "Love Sosa" rapper had just finished pleading guilty to a speeding charge when he was picked up blocks away from the Skokie Courthouse he had just left.

Reports the Chicago Tribune: Cozart was blocks from the courthouse when he was arrested by Chicago police officers, officials said. Leah Starkman, Cozart's lawyer, said he was arrested after his court hearing on a misdemeanor trespassing charge. Starkman didn't know the details of the arrest, but said he was in custody at the Grand Crossing District station, 7040 S. Cottage Grove Ave., on Chicago's South Side.

She said she believes police were waiting from him to leave the Skokie courthouse. “He's still being processed,” she said.

“I haven't seen the paperwork.” But Sosa's struggle doesn't stop there. While in court today he was hit with another paternity case. Cozart's lawyer said the latest paternity suit alleges that her client is "the natural father" of a little girl. Cozart has an Aug. 26 9 a.m. court date on that in Bridgeview. "I haven't had a chance to talk to my client about this," Starkman said.

His first paternity case was filed in December by a different mother. That case is pending. As Cozart was leaving the courthouse and was asked about the latest paternity case he said, "I don't know."

The first paternity case was filed by a girl who is still in middle school. Chief Keef is 17-years-old. That is all. (HipHopWired)

A woman whose false claim of rape sent former prep football star Brian Banks to prison was ordered to pay a $2.6 million judgment in connection with the case.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered Wanetta Gibson (seen below) to pay a $1.5 million, plus an additional $1.1 million in fees, including for making a false claim and court-related costs.

Gibson was a former high-school acquaintance of Banks in 2002 when she accused him of raping her at Long Beach Polytechnic High School, according to the California Innocence Project, an organization that helped exonerate Banks.

Gibson sued the Long Beach Unified School District claiming the school was not safe and won a $1.5 million settlement.

On February 27th, 2011 Brian was contacted by the alleged victim via a Facebook friend request and private message wanting to reconcile their friendship and as she put it, “let bygones be bygones.” Brian, realizing the opportunity to prove his innocence, falls to his knees, praying to God for an answer. And with that, his proceeded to play the role of interest. They agreed to meet. Brian immediately contacted a local private investigator to video and audio record the meeting.

Gibson ultimately said she lied and made up the story so a judge reversed Banks’ conviction on May 24, 2012.

After 5 years and 2 months of incarceration, nearly 5 years on strict parole and sex offender registration, an electronic GPS device attached to his ankle, and a number of other crazy circumstances, Brian has finally been EXONERATED!

Pebbelz Da Model Charged With Murder and facing a life sentence Behind Bars For Injecting Fake Booty Shots!!

If some of you are out the loop Pebblez da Model has been MIA status after being caught in Memphis and charged with illegally brokering a butt shot procedure that resulted in the death of an Atlanta woman.

Pebblez, real name Natasha Stewart, was arrested on January 3, 2013 and charged with being a fugitive from justice in connection with Gordon’s death. Police also took Shannetria Newberry into custody. It is not clear what role she played in Gordon’s death. Both women are being held at the Shelby County jail without bond.

According to the Associated Press, Gordon met Pebbles in New York and paid her $200 for the referral to Garner. The Associated Press located a Twitter. Pebbelz Da Model’s Twitter page featured photos advertising Garner’s work. The photos showed Pebblez with grossly deformed buttocks and hips, consistent with butt shots or butt implants. Flip-cam video footage captures Lil Wayne violating the United States Flag Code in at least two ways in his new charged video to "God Bless Amerika."

Earlier this year, Cash Money Records superstar Lil Wayne angered the family of slain Civil Rights figure Emmett Till on his lyrics to Future's "Karate Chop Remix." While Wayne subsequently apologized for his "beat the pussy up like Emmett Till" lyric making light of the 1955 murder of the teenager, he may now be upsetting American patriots.

Video footage, courtesy of TMZ.com, surfaced of Wayne recently filming the video to "God Bless Amerika." The Cool & Dre-produced song, which appears on this year's I Am Not A Human Being II, contains lyrics "the stars on the flag are never shinin'." Wayne further stressed his opinion at the shoot to the song's music video. A witness captured a take where Wayne appears to intentionally dance on a fallen American flag. He tramples on the patriotic symbol for over one minute. (HipHopDX)

Former NBA player, Allen Iverson has allegedly abducted his own children – this according to his ex-wife. Tawanna Iverson is now asking the court to force Allen to give them back by filing legal docs claiming Allen recently asked for permission to take their five kids on a short vacation to Charlotte, NC from May 22nd-May 26th. Tawanna agreed, but when May 26th arrived, the children hadn’t been returned.

The children range from 3 to 16-years old. Tawanna claims that she tried to set up a drop-off point for the children at a neutral location for Allen, but on June 4th when it was supposed to go down, Allen Iverson never showed up. Tawanna has sole legal and physical custody of the children and now truly believes that Allen never took them to Charlotte.

Tawanna Iverson believes that Allen Iverson is keeping the children at a Sheraton Hotel in Georgia. She’s especially concerned because Allen is an alcoholic and likes to drink around the kids. She’s asking the court to force Allen to return the kids and punish him – even asking the judge to throw him in jail. (eVIPlist.com)

New laws in New York are looking to put a major dent in the booming business of selling fake handbags and even Rolex watches on Canal Street. If a proposed bill passes the City Council anyone caught buying a bootleg can be fined up to $1,000 and sentenced to up to a year in prison.

Council member Margaret Chin, who introduced the bill, said at a public hearing Thursday that counterfeits deprive the city of at least $1 billion in tax revenue a year that could support community improvements. What’s more, she says, the counterfeit trade has been linked to child labor and the funding of organized crime and terror groups. ”For tourists, it’s fun, it’s a bit of adventure,” Chin says. ”We have to let people know that if you engage in this activity you are committing a crime.”

Ashley Hunter, 30, of Kewshaw, S.C., shopping in the area, asks, “How would I know I’m not supposed to buy something, that there’s a fine?” Melissa Kirkpatrick, of Salt Lake City, Utah, wasn’t too concerned about the legality of the items selling on Canal Street, where she was with her family. She was looking for a Rolex for a friend at home. “If I can buy it for $50, I will, real or fake,” she says.
